Traffic is King, but this comes FIRST
The best way to ensure your success is to build automated traffic sources to send you visitors day and night.
But, first…
Before you begin trying to get traffic to your site, you need to do your keyword research first. Why? Because you have to target these keywords if you are to have any hope of actually generating traffic for them. Which means you need to put some thought into the keywords you’re targeting.
A couple things to keep in mind when doing keyword research:
- Are the keywords you’re interested in attainable? You’ll have to analyze the competition and see what’s out there for this.
- Will the keywords you’re targeting bring buyers? If you don’t do your research you’ll end up with a lot of traffic that doesn’t buy from you. What you want is buyers!
- What about affiliates? Generating your own customers is great – having other people do it for you is even better. So make sure you are also targeting keywords to attract affiliates.
This is critical to your business, but it takes a lot of time and effort. And hiring an expert is very expensive. And that’s why most people skip this step! What I recommend is using website traffic software to save the time of doing it yourself and the money of hiring someone else. This will not only speed it up. It will give you better results, as well.
Only then can you start getting traffic
Only after doing your keyword research correctly can you start targeting these keywords to get you traffic.
Here are a couple of clever ways to do this…
- Something you may not have ever considered is Surveys
- “Help” Websites
- Video Websites
Surveys
The truth is that people really enjoy taking surveys and finding out what other people think. And smart website owners know this, so they will include your survey on their site if you make a good one. They benefit by getting free content for their site and you get a link to your site under the survey. The beauty of this is that it generates website visitors for you with no work on your part. Most people think surveys are just for collecting data, but in this case you don’t even care about the answers. So, get creative and make up a survey that’s wacky to get other people interested in putting it on their sites.
“Answer” Sites
Sites like Yahoo! Answers allow users to ask and answer each others’ questions. Once again, the main reason for this site is not the reason you’re interested. What you want to do is use these sites to generate traffic and leads for your business. Now, you can do this all by hand – visit a classified ads or answers site and one by one copy and paste contact info. So, if you’re smart, you’ll use website traffic software to do it all for you. Then you just get a daily batch of fresh leads delivered to your inbox.
Video Sharing Sites
No doubt you’re aware of YouTube and other video websites. In fact, YouTube has over 2 billion videos watched per day! So don’t miss out of this incredible source of free website traffic.
You don’t have to be able to make awesome videos for this to work. It’s really easy to just start with an article or something you’ve already written. Then simply record yourself reading the text and you video the screen with a simple screen capture program. You can even get software that will automatically do this for you.
The Bottom Line…
Figuring out how to get some visitors to your site is not hard at all. Just be a creative and think outside the box a bit. You can even use software to automate most of what we’ve talked about.
Don’t waste any more time:
- Do your keyword research
- Next, set up a survey or two with viral appeal
- Make sure to use the “answer” sites
- And don’t forget about video
